Al-Sadd head coach Bruno Miguel emphasized the difficulty of the upcoming match against Al-Faisaly of Jordan, in the third round in Group B of the AFC Champions League.
During the pre-match press conference, Al-Sadd’s coach stated, “We expect the match to be very difficult, and we will work towards achieving victory and securing all three points.”
Regarding the team not playing in the last round of the Stars Expo League and getting some rest, he said, “The players did not have a break after the Nasaf match (in the AFC Champions League) because they were with the national team. We have only worked with them for two days, but I hope the team performs well in the upcoming match.”
He added, “Al-Faisaly is an organized and strong team defensively; they will play on the counter-attacks. We need to pass the ball well, and avoid mistakes to secure a victory.”
When asked about the absence of Akram Afif, he said, “It’s true that we are stronger with all players present, and Akram is, of course, an excellent player who is very important in attack. However, Al-Sadd does not rely on a single player; we work as a team. I hope the team performs well and achieves the goal, which is a victory.”
