Al Sadd’s first team secured a 1–0 victory over Al Shamal in Week 12 of the 2024–2025 Ooredoo Stars League season. The match was held on Sunday, 12 January 2025, at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.

Al-Sadd head coach Félix Sánchez has emphasised his side’s readiness for their upcoming match against Al Shamal in Week 12 of the Ooredoo Stars League, set to take place on Sunday evening at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.

Sergio Alegre joins Al-Sadd coaching staff

The Spanish coach Sergio Alegre has joined the coaching staff of Al Sadd’s first football team under the leadership of Felix Sanchez.

Alegre previously worked as an assistant to Felix Sanchez when he was the head coach of the Qatar national team, winning the 2019 AFC Asian Cup with Al Annabi.

He also worked with the coaching staff of Xavi Hernandez during the latter’s tenure as head coach of Al Sadd from 2019 to 2021, winning seven titles with the club. ...

Al Sadd secured a 4–0 victory over Kuwait’s Khaitan in a friendly match held on Saturday at the team’s training ground.

The goals for Al Sadd were scored by Cristo Gonzalez, Ahmed Suhail, Giovanni Henrique, and Mohamed Camara (penalty).

Al Sadd Club officially announces that an agreement has been reached with Colombian player Matheus Uribe to terminate the contract between both parties by mutual consent.

Al-Sadd’s first team recorded a 6–1 victory over Kuwait’s Al-Qadsia in a friendly match held on Monday at the team’s training ground.

Giovanni Henrique netted a hat-trick for Al-Sadd, while Ahmed Suhail, Paulo Otávio, and Hashim Ali scored a goal apiece.

The team started with a lineup consisting of Yousef Al-Baloushi as goalkeeper; Romain Saïss, Abdesamad Bounasser, Paulo Otávio, and Youcef Atal in defense; Ali Asad, Guilherme Torres, and Cristo Gonazalez in midfield; and Hassan Al-Haydos, Hashim Ali, and Giovanni Henrique in attack. Al-Sadd’s first football team resumed training today, Thursday, following the rest period granted to the players after their match against Al-Ahli, in Week 11 of the Ooredoo Stars League.
