Ooredoo Cup: Al-Sadd lose 2-3 to Umm Salal

Al Sadd suffered their first defeat in the 2022-23 Ooredoo Cup on Saturday, with a 3-2 loss to Umm Salal in the Group A third round game, which was played at the Al Egla 4 Pitch.

With this result, Al-Sadd remain with a tally of six points, from two victories and a defeat.

Hassan Ahmed opened the scoring early on, putting Al-Sadd in the lead in the 3rd minute. Umm Salal ended the first half on level terms after Sardor Rashidov equalised a few minutes before the halftime whistle.  ...

The Al Sadd first team concluded their preparations for the upcoming Ooredoo Cup Group A third round game against Umm Salal, with a final training session on Friday at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.

The match will kick off at 7:15 PM on Saturday evening at Al-Egla 4 Pitch.

Al-Sadd defeated 4-0 against Al-Sailiya, in the 2022-23 Ooredoo Cup Group A Round 1 game that took place today, at Hamad Bin Khalifa Stadium.

With this victory, Al-Sadd recorded their first three points in the competition. After a goalless first half, substitute Hassan Ahmed opened the scoring in the 58th minute, before Santi Cazorla doubled the lead in the 75th minute. Al-Sadd’s first team concluded their preparations for facing Al-Sailiya in the 2022-23 Ooredoo Cup Group A first round game, which will be played on Monday evening at Hamad Bin Khalifa Stadium.

Al-Sadd lost 2-1 to Al-Wakrah in the QNB Stars League Round 7 game which was played on Wednesday at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.
