Al-Sadd goalkeeper Meshaal Barsham shared his thoughts after his side’s final league game of the season against Al-Gharafa, describing the clash as an “inconsequential game”.
Speaking to the media after the 1-1 draw, Meshaal said: “This was the last game of the season, and it was an inconsequential game, a match that was preparation for the new season, and also the Champions League.”
The young keeper also said: “The match was a good opportunity for a number of young players, and the team performed well. Akram Afif also managed to go top of the scoring chart with his goal, and I hope he wins the award as he deserves it.”
Finally, Meshaal concluded by saying: “We won’t get many days of rest. We will continue working again to prepare for the new season, which begins next month and also for the Champions League.”
