Al-Sadd concluded their preparations for the Ooredoo Cup semifinal against Al-Ahli, with a final training session on Friday evening at the club’s training centre. The match is set to kick off at 7 PM at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium on Saturday.
The Wolves reached the semifinals of the competition after finishing third in Group A with 7 points, and then defeating Qatar SC on penalties in the quarterfinals. Al-Ahli, meanwhile, finished first in Group A with 12 points, and then overcame Al-Gharafa 1-0 in their last 8 clash.
Saturday’s game presents an opportunity for Al-Sadd to reach another Cup final, having already won the Sheikh Jassim Cup and the Qatar Cup in the 2019-20 season. The match will also see the first appearance for summer signing Santi Cazorla.
