Al-Sadd drawn in Group E of the 2022 AFC Champions League
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) held the draw for the group stage of the AFC Champions League 2022, on Monday, in a virtual ceremony broadcast from Kuala Lumpur.
This edition of the continental championship will be held with the participation of 40 teams, divided into 10 groups of four teams each across the west and east regions.
The draw saw Al-Sadd placed in Group E, alongside Al-Faisaly of Saudi Arabia, Al-Wehdat of Jordan, and the winner of the play-off match between Nasaf of Uzbekistan and Baniyas of the United Arab Emirates.
The group stage matches for the West Asian region will be played from 7 to 27 April 2022 in a centralised venue.
