Al-Sadd begin preparations for 2025-26 season

Al Sadd Club kicked off preparations for the new 2025–2026 season by holding their first training session on Saturday, July 5, at the team’s training ground.

Al Sadd Club officially announces the signing of Spanish player Pau Prim until 2029, arriving from FC Barcelona.

Amir Cup 2025: Al-Sadd exit after shootout defeat to Al-Gharafa

Al Sadd lost on penalties (5-4) after a 2-2 draw in both regular and extra time against Al Gharafa in the Amir Cup quarter-final match held today, Wednesday, at Al Thumama Stadium.

Al Sadd’s goals came from an own goal by Aron Gunnarsson in the 67th minute and a stoppage-time equalizer by Boualem Khoukhi in the 90+9 minute.
Al Gharafa scored through Joselu from the penalty spot in the 45+3 minute and Yacine Brahimi, also from the penalty spot, in the 53rd minute. ...

Meshaal Barsham: I enjoy penalty shootouts – what matters most is the win and the title

Al Sadd goalkeeper Meshaal Barsham congratulated his teammates, the technical and administrative staff, and the fans after winning the Pride and Glory Cup following their victory over Al Duhail in the final.

Speaking after the match, he said: “It was a very tough game against a strong team like Al Duhail, who took the lead twice. But we came back and kept pushing for the win. It was a hard-fought contest that went to penalties, where we managed to seal the victory.” ...

Al-Sadd coach Félix Sánchez expressed his joy after his side’s dramatic penalty shootout victory over Al-Duhail and the team’s triumph in the 2025 Qatar Cup.

Al Sadd claimed the 2025 Qatar Cup title after defeating Al Duhail in the final via a 4-3 penalty shootout, following a 2-2 draw in regular and extra time. The match took place on Saturday, 10 May 2025, at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.

Claudinho scored for Al Sadd in the 63rd minute from the penalty spot, while Rafa Mújica netted the equalizer in the 86th minute. For Al Duhail, Michael Olunga found the net in the 48th minute, followed by Benjamín Bourigeaud in the 65th minute. ...
