Al-Sadd recorded a resounding 6-0 victory against Umm Salal in the Expo Stars League Week 12 game, which took place at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium on Thursday.
This win elevated the Wolves to 31 points, as they continue to lead the league table.
The beginning of the match showcased a strong and swift performance from Al-Sadd, and the Wolves nearly took the lead in the 5th minute with Akram Afif’s shot hitting Umm Salal’s post.
The pressure from Al-Sadd then resulted in the opening goal in the 10th minute, courtesy of Gonzalo Plata, who capitalized on a pass from Baghdad Bounedjah.
Maintaining control, Al-Sadd added the second goal in the 14th minute through Hassan Al-Haydos after Plata’s successful penetration and a precise cross from the left side.
In the 18th minute, Akram scored the third goal for Al-Sadd, following a pass from Hassan Al-Haydos from the left side.
Al-Sadd continued their offensive dominance, and Akram added the fourth goal in the 43rd minute, concluding the first half with a commanding 4-0 lead.
Entering the second half with determination, Al-Sadd extended their lead with Al-Haydos scoring the fifth goal in the 49th minute after a brilliant exchange between him and Bounedjah.
The team’s efforts persisted, and Brazilian midfielder Guilherme Torres added the sixth goal in the 69th minute with a fierce shot from inside the penalty area, securing the 6-0 victory in style.
