Al-Sadd sporting director Mohammed Ghulam expressed his immense joy after the team clinched the Expo Stars League shield for the 17th time in the club’s history, further solidifying their status as Qatar’s most successful team in terms of league titles.
The achievement came after a 4-0 victory over Al-Shamal, which was celebrated with great elation by Al-Sadd fans at Al-Bayt Stadium.
In his post-match statements, the sporting director said, “We are delighted that the team has reclaimed the title after defeating Al-Shamal with a resounding 4-0 victory in today’s match. This victory is a culmination of an incredibly challenging season, as the title race was only decided in the final round.”
Ghulam highlighted the tremendous efforts of every member of the team and the club, extending his congratulations to the management, players, and fans of Al-Sadd for securing the 17th title under challenging circumstances, including the absence of several key players due to injuries. He stressed the need to redouble efforts in the upcoming phase and to focus on adding more trophies to Al-Sadd’s cabinet, as the team faces significant challenges up ahead, especially in the Amir Cup and the Qatar Cup tournaments.
