Al-Sadd head coach Wesam Rizk spoke about the significance of the upcoming Amir Cup final against Qatar SC, which will take place on Friday evening at Education City Stadium.
During the pre-match press conference, Wesam stated, “It is a great honor to be in the final and to meet His Highness the Amir. We are highly motivated to win the championship. We have secured the title 18 times and aim to achieve the double this season.”
He added, “After our victory over Al-Duhail, we felt immense pride. Playing in the Amir Cup final is the greatest achievement for me. Our full focus now is on the final match. Finals do not recognize the bigger team alone but reward those who fight for this precious cup.”
The coach continued, “We have played with great realism in the Amir Cup, starting from our match against Al-Wakrah and then against Al-Duhail. We employ a collective and attacking style to achieve our goal. We have Akram, the league’s top scorer, along with Baghdad Bounedjah, Hassan Al-Haydos, and many other exceptional players.”
Regarding the national coaches this season, Wesam said, “This season has been outstanding for all national coaches. The final features both Al-Sadd’s and Qatar SC’s national coaches. I thank Al-Sadd for their trust and significant support.”
He concluded, “Our goal is to win the Amir Cup to complement our league title and secure the double for Al-Sadd. Qatar SC’s advancement to the final is not a surprise; their arrival is not by chance. The match will be evenly contested between both teams.”
