Al-Sadd’s Moroccan player Romain Saïss described his side’s upcoming match against UAE’s Al-Wasl as tough, but emphasised the team’s desire to win all three points.
Speaking during the press conference, Saïss said: “Al-Wasl is a good team, and the match will be at a high level. We enjoy such games, and we’ve prepared well for it. Our goal is to achieve a positive result, which means winning and securing the three points.”
He added: “Al-Wasl has been putting on strong performances, especially in the Champions League, and the match will be on their home ground. We know the game will be tough, but we want to take the points to continue progressing in the Asian elite standings.”
Regarding Akram Afif winning Asia’s Best Player award, the Al-Sadd defender said: “Akram is a great player and also a good person. He works hard and with passion every day, and last season was decisive for both the club and the national team. I wish him more success and growth in the future.”
