Al-Sadd coach Felix Sanchez described his side’s upcoming Ooredoo Stars League clash against Al-Khor as challenging and spoke of the team’s aim to focus only on this game.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Sanchez said: “It’s always challenging when we play after an international break. The players return after playing two matches with their national teams, and some of them have had long trips.”
“We need to assess the condition and mood of the players to prepare well for this game.”
He added: “We know we have a short time to prepare, but we are looking forward to this match.”
“We have four important matches in the coming period, and we begin with this game against Al-Khor.”
Asked about his side’s recent run of wins, Sanchez said: “Obviously, winning matches is important, but we know that every game has its own story.”
“We need to focus only on the next match and cannot think about the past.”
“Certainly, achieving a series of positive results gives you a lot of confidence, but we need to concentrate solely on facing Al-Khor. This match will be different from any other game, so we have to work hard to prepare well for it.
