Al-Sadd player Abdullah Al Yazidi acknowledged that the team did not perform at the expected level in the first half of their AFC Champions League Elite Round of 16 first-leg match against UAE’s Al Wasl.
Speaking after the match, Al Yazidi said: “In the second half, we played better and managed to equalize. The real challenge will be in Doha, where we aim to secure qualification to the quarter-finals, God willing.”
He added: “It was a tough and intense match with some physical challenges, but we came away with a draw. We will give our best performance in the second leg at home, in front of our fans, to secure qualification.”
