Al-Sadd head coach Felix Sanchez emphasised the need to win, ahead of his side’s Doha Bank Stars League Round 2 fixture against Al-Ahli.
“We have our. next game against Al-Ahli; we know they had a very good season last year, finishing in the top four, so we expect a difficult game,” said Sanchez, while speaking at the pre-match press conference.
“They had a bad start, same as us, and both teams will play to win. We know they will try to play their game, but we need to focus on ourselves, keep working, believe in what we do, and try to get a good first result in the league.”
He added: “Obviously, nobody likes to start with a defeat, nobody likes to lose games. Unfortunately, that’s what happened in the first match. Now we need to start from Thursday, try to add points, and put ourselves in a position to challenge at the top of the league.”
