Al-Sadd’s Algerian player Youcef Atal expressed his great happiness with his side’s big 8–3 victory over Umm Salal, in Week 7 of the 2025–2026 Doha Bank Stars League season.
Atal said after the match: “Congratulations to us and hard luck to Umm Salal. The match was not easy at all, but the team delivered a strong performance and managed to achieve our main goal, which was winning the three points.”
The Al Sadd defender added that the team made good use of its chances, stressing that scoring the goals was not just a matter of luck but the result of planning and organization on the pitch. He said: “What’s coming next will be even better for the team. We have to keep creating chances and scoring goals, while focusing on fixing any mistakes that appear in upcoming games to ensure our winning momentum continues.”
Atal emphasized that the victory over Umm Salal reflects the level of preparation and effort by the technical staff, noting that the team always aims to play entertaining and effective football capable of achieving positive results and delighting the fans.
He concluded: “We’re proud of what we’re doing, but we must keep working and improving. The road is long, and the competition is far from over.”
