Roberto Mancini appointed as Al-Sadd head coach

Roberto Mancini has been appointed as the first team head coach of Al-Sadd for two and a half seasons.

This signing comes as part of the club management’s efforts to strengthen the technical staff with distinguished coaching expertise capable of fulfilling the team’s ambitions and continuing its path of achievements.

The contract signing was attended by Sheikh Khalifa bin Khalid Al Thani, CEO of Al-Sadd Football Club Company, and Mohammed Ghanem Al-Ali, head of the club’s football operations.

Mancini has an impressive coaching record, having achieved significant success with Fiorentina, Lazio, Inter Milan, and Manchester City; he led the latter to win the English Premier League in the 2011–2012 season.

In 2018, he took over as head coach of the Italian national team and guided them to win Euro 2020 after a historic performance.
