Al-Sadd head coach Roberto Mancini expressed his happiness with his side’s thrilling 4-2 victory over Shabab Al-Ahli in the sixth round of the 2026 AFC Elite Champions League group stage.
The Al-Sadd coach said in the post-match press conference: “The match was not easy. We fell behind by two goals, but we came back strongly and with determination until the final minutes, and we deserved this important win. I am not talking about the referee—this is football. We made a mistake and a penalty was awarded against us, but we continued our work on the pitch.”
Mancini added: “We managed to successfully turn our deficit into a big victory, and our focus was clear from the start. This win is a great opportunity for my team to bounce back both domestically and in Asia. We achieved a good victory and we must continue the good work in this match.”
