Al-Sadd goalkeeper Meshaal Barsham affirmed that the match against Al-Duhail was not easy, despite the Wolves securing a 3–1 victory in Week 17 of the Doha Bank Stars League.
Barsham said in his post-match comments:
“We faced a strong opponent with high quality. Al-Duhail is a tough team, but we are happy with the win and with taking the three points. We entered the match with great focus and a clear desire to earn the victory.”
Barsham added that the current stage requires doubled focus, explaining that the team will quickly close the chapter on this game to prepare for the upcoming fixture in the AFC Champions League Elite. He stressed that Al-Sadd is playing a large number of important matches during this period.
He pointed out that Al-Sadd players are accustomed to the pressure of back-to-back matches and competitions, saying:
“We are used to pressure and we know how to deal with it. Every match represents a new challenge for us.”
Barsham also delivered a message to Al-Sadd fans, urging them to continue their support and encouragement in the upcoming match against Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia in the AFC Champions League Elite.
