Al-Sadd beat Al-Shamal to reach Amir Cup semifinal

Al-Sadd qualified for the semi-finals of the 2026 Amir Cup after defeating Al-Shamal 6–4 in the quarter-finals on Friday at Ahmed bin Ali Stadium.

Al-Sadd will face Al-Duhail in the semi-finals on Tuesday, 5 May.

Al-Sadd’s goals were scored by Hassan Al-Haydos from the penalty spot in the 10th minute, Claudinho in the 13th minute, Rafa Mujica with a hat-trick in the 23rd, 24th, and 56th minutes, and Javairo Dilrosun in the 90+7th minute.

Al-Shamal’s goals came through Tamer Siam (45+3’), Baghdad Bounedjah (61’), Jason Céron (75’), and Mohammed Omar (90’).
