Al-Sadd defender Boualem Khoukhi stressed that the team fully deserved to qualify for the Amir Cup final after defeating Al-Duhail 4–1 in the semi-final.
Khoukhi said: “The match against Al-Duhail was not easy,” noting that the team’s good preparation played a major role in securing victory and qualification. He added: “The match was difficult, we had prepared for it very well. Al-Duhail are a big team and deserve respect.”
He continued: “The final will be different, and I see it as a 50-50 contest for both teams, especially since Al-Gharafa are a strong side with great quality.”
He concluded by saying: “The fans will enjoy the match, and we hope to succeed in winning the title. We congratulate all Al-Sadd supporters on this qualification.”
