Al-Sadd goalkeeper Meshaal Barsham said the match against Saudi side Al-Ahli was difficult and evenly contested, stressing that the team had been aiming to win and collect all three points. He also expressed hope that the Wolves would make up for the result in their upcoming matches.
Speaking at the post-match press conference, Barsham said: “It was a difficult match against Al-Ahli, and we were aiming to secure victory. However, the game was evenly contested between the two teams. I believe all the Al-Sadd players gave their all and did everything they could on the pitch.
“A draw is not the result we were looking for, as it does not meet the ambitions of Al-Sadd, a club that approaches every match with the aim of winning. We hope to make up for this result in the upcoming games and make our fans happy.”
