The Al-Sadd first team players got a break from training today, Wednesday, following the big 5-1 win over Al Sailiya in Round 2 of the QNB Stars League.
With this victory, Al-Sadd remain on top of the league table with 6 points from 2 wins.
The coaching staff led by head coach Xavi Hernandez had the players undergo recovery training on Tuesday evening, before deciding on a day of rest on Wednesday, to get rid of fatigue.
The first team is now scheduled to begin a closed camp from tomorrow Thursday, at Al Azizia Boutique Hotel, in preparation for the resumption of the 2020 AFC Champions League matches. The Wolves will resume their campaign with third match of the group stage against Al Ain of the UAE, on Tuesday, September 15, at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.
Al-Sadd are currently top of Group D with 4 points, level with Al-Nassr (KSA), and followed by Sepahan (Iran) with 3 points and Al-Ain (UAE) who have 0 points.
