Al-Sadd wrapped up preparations for the upcoming AFC Champions League Matchday 6 clash with Sepahan, with a final training session on Wednesday evening. The final Group D game will kick off at 6 PM tomorrow at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.
The Wolves go into the game sitting in second place in the group with 9 points from 2 wins and 3 draws, while Sepahan are in third with 4 points. The first game between the two sides ended in a 3-0 win for Al-Sadd.
Pedro Miguel and Baghdad Bounedjah will miss Thursday’s game due to suspension after accumulating bookings. Al-Sadd head coach Xavi Hernandez is set to give starts to a number of substitute players, having already secured qualification to the Round of 16 and considering the tight schedule of matches.
Al-Sadd will look for a win in order to finish on top of the group, while awaiting a positive outcome from the other game between Al-Nassr and Al-Ain, which will be played at the same time.
Meanwhile, the Al-Sadd players, technical staff and officials underwent COVID-19 tests as per the AFC’s protocol, and all results were negative.
