Al-Sadd sporting director Mohammed Gholam al-Baloushi described Al-Sadd’s 4-1 win over Al-Duhail in the Amir Cup semifinal as a deserved result that came after a “wonderful footballing symphony.”
In his statement to the club’s website after the game, Mohammed Gholam said: “Praise be to God for this victory, which came at the right time for Al-Sadd, and in which the team put up a great effort. The coaching staff maintained the same way of playing despite trailing by a goal, and the players put on a wonderful footballing symphony over the two halves, which helped to achieve this victory.”
He added: “Al-Sadd always show a great sense of responsibility, and they succeeded in making up for the first goal. They gave the team an important victory that put us in the Amir Cup final for the twenty-sixth time in the club’s history.”
The sporting director offered more praise for the Al Sadd players’ performance, saying: “Everyone was up to the task in the match and made a great effort through which they got the deserved four-goal victory, which makes the entire Sadawi family happy.”
“We take every match separately, and the team is on the verge of new challenges in the league, and we have great confidence in all players to achieve all the team’s goals.”
Mohammed Gholam concluded by saying: “We got a remarkable victory that gives us a great impetus to increase confidence and morale during the next stage, especially since the final requires a lot of work by all the members of the team, in order to win the most presitigious cup.”
