The Al-Sadd football first team held their main training session from 5:30 PM onwards on Sunday at the club’s secondary pitch, in preparation for the upcoming QNB Stars League Round 14 clash against Al-Duhail. The match is set to kick off at 6:45 PM on Tuesday at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.
The Wolves go into the game in high spirits following their 8-0 win over Al-Sailiya in Round 13, which increased their points tally to 35 and maintained the lead at the top of the table. Al-Duhail, meanwhile, are in second place with 27 points. The first phase game between the two teams ended in a 3-1 win for Al-Sadd.
During Sunday’s main training session, the Al-Sadd coaching implemented certain strategies, focusing on attacking moves and player movement.
Tarek Salman will miss the upcoming game after suffering a knee injury, that requires four weeks of treatment before he can return.
Meanwhile, the trio of Akram Afif, Khoukhi Boualem and Hussam Kamal returned to training after recovering from COVID-19, which had ruled out of action for the last few games.
Ahmed Sayyar also participated in the training session on Sunday, after his recovering from illness which had kept him out of the last two games against Al-Kharaitiyat and Al-Sailiya.
