The Al-Sadd first team held their main training session on Monday, at the Al-Shabab club facility, in preparation for the match against Iranian side Foolad in the opening round of the AFC Champions League 2021 group stage.
Apart from Foolad, the Wolves will also face Al-Nassr (Saudi Arabia) and Al-Wehdat (Jordan) in Group D.
The main training session witnessed the participation of all the first team players, under the supervision of the head coach Xavi, who focused on choosing the appropriate lineup for the game. The coaching staff took care of the skills training with the ball, while also implementing some offensive strategies.
Before the start of the training session, the coaches met with the players in the midfield circle to talk with them about the most important technical points of the game and urged them to present their best.
Earlier in the day, the Al-Sadd players underwent a walking training session at the team’s residence in Riyadh.
Meanwhile, the pre-match press conference for the match between Al-Sadd and Foolad is scheduled to be held in the conference hall of King Fahd Stadium from 4 PM on Tuesday, and the match coordination meeting will be held from 9 AM through video conference.
