The Al-Sadd first team delegation underwent Covid-19 swab tests ahead of the game against Saudi side Al-Nassr, at the squad’s residence at the Burj Rafal Hotel in Riyadh.
The Wolves are preparing to face Al-Nassr on Matchday Two in Group D of the AFC Champions League 2021, in the match that will kick off at 9 PM on Saturday at the King Saud University Stadium.
On Matchday One, Al-Sadd had settled for a 1-1 draw with the Iranian side Foolad Khouzestan, while Al-Nassr drew 0-0 with Jordan’s Al-Wehdat.
The Al-Sadd players underwent recovery training at their residence on Thursday. Coach Xavi Hernandez set a physical and recovery programme for the players in the hotel gym, to get rid of fatigue and to give the team the necessary rest before going into the final training tomorrow, Friday, in preparation for facing Al Nassr.
