The Al-Sadd first team concluded their preparations for the upcoming AFC Champions League game against Al-Wehdat, with a final training session on Monday at the Prince Khaled bin Sultan Stadium in Al-Shabab Club. The Group D game on Matchday 3 of the competition will kick off at 9 PM on Tuesday at the King Fahd International Stadium.
The Wolves come into the game with one point in their tally after a 1-1 draw with Foolad, and a 3-1 defeat to Al-Nassr.
Al-Sadd will look for their first victory in order to restore balance to their campaign and to compete for the top position. During Monday’ session, head coach Xavi Hernandez was keen to prepare the players for tomorrow’s match and to choose the appropriate lineup.
In the second half of the training session, Xavi implemented a practice mini-game in the middle of the pitch, during which the focus was on the importance of pressing and moving the ball quickly to the opponent’s half.
Meanwhile, it was confirmed that Al-Sadd will wear their white home kit during the game. Al-Wehdat will play in green and red.
