The Al-Sadd first team underwent Covid-19 swab tests ahead of the AFC Champions League game against Foolad, at the team’s residence in the Burj Rafal Hotel in Riyadh.
The Wolves are preparing to face Group D opponents Foulad on Matchday 5 of the AFC Champions League 2021, in the match that will kick off at 9 pm on Monday, at the Faisal bin Fahd Stadium.
On Matchday 4, Al Sadd registered a 2-0 win over Jordanian side Al Wehdat, climbing to second position in the group with 7 points.
As part of the preparations for the next game, the Al Sadd players underwent recovery training on Saturday at the team hotel. Head coach Xavi Hernandez set a physical and recovery training programme for the players in the gym to get rid of fatigue and to give the team the necessary rest before going into the final training session tomorrow, Sunday, in preparation for the match against Foolad.
