The Al-Sadd first team concluded their preparations for the upcoming QNB Stars League Round 5 game against Al-Arabi, with a final training session on Thursday. The match is set to kick off at 7:15 PM on Friday at Khalifa International Stadium.
The Wolves come into the game occupying top spot in the league table with a tally of 12 points, after winning the first four matches against Al-Sailiya, Qatar, Al-Rayyan and Al-Shamal. Al-Arabi are in third place with 9 points from 3 wins and a loss.
Following Thursday’s final training session, head coach Xavi Hernandez announced the 24-member squad for the game.
The squad list saw the return of Guilherme Torres, after the Brazilian midfielder recovered from an injury which ruled him out of the last game against Al-Shamal. Abdelkarim Hassan also returned, having recovered from the injury that had kept him out of action for four weeks.
Similarly, Santi Cazorla also rejoined the Al-Sadd squad for the game against Al-Arabi, after recovering from an injury that prevented him from being with the team since the beginning of the QNB Star League season.
