Umm Salal opened the scoring through Yaseen Al Bakheet in the 6th minute, before Akram Afif equalised in the 13th minute. Santi Cazorla put Al-Sadd in front at the half hour mark, and Andre Ayew made it 3-1 at the beginning of the second half.
