Al-Sadd defender Tarek Salman spoke about the importance of winning the upcoming QNB Stars League Round 13 match against Qatar SC.
Speaking during the press conference, Tarek said: “A difficult match awaits us against Qatar Club, and this is what also happened in the first phase, where it was a very difficult match too. Qatar SC was a very strong competitor in the first half, but we controlled the match in the second half and decided it in our favour.
He continued: “The full team is very enthusiastic and optimistic. Our goal is to stay in the lead, not to lose any game, and to display the same level as we showed in the previous matches.”
Tarek added: “We focus on ourselves only. We have a five-point lead, with the postponed match against Al Wakrah to be played. It gives us great motivation to continue in the lead. We do not look at the rest of the opponents and our goal is to win all the matches in order to keep the QNB Stars League title at Al Sadd.”
