Al-Sadd coach Javi Gracia expressed his happiness with the 4-0 victory over Al-Ahli, which took them to the Amir Cup semi-finals.
Speaking to them media after the match, Gracia said: “We knew the difficulty of the match, we dominated from the beginning of the half and were able to score two early goals, and we were great. In the second half, we were late in killing the match off, but we managed to scored two more goals.”
He continued: “Al-Ahli is a good team and the absences in their team affected them greatly, but we imposed our style from the beginning and we managed to control the match over the two halves.”
Gracia added: “We have qualified for the semi-finals, and we will continue to work, in order to reach the final of the Amir Cup.”
Regarding who he’d prefer to face in the semi-finals, between Al Duhail and Al Sailiya, the Spanish coach said: “I do not prefer any team over the other, I am focused on my team only, and how to improve its performance from one match to another.”
