Al Sadd coach Javi Gracia said that his side is facing the challenge of playing many matches over a short period, in the league and in the Amir Cup.
Speaking during the press conference ahead of the game against Al-Wakrah, in the final and 22nd round of the QNB Stars League, Gracia said: “We are playing a large number of matches in a very short period. We faced Al-Ahli in the Amir Cup, then Al-Rayyan in the league, and now we have our next game against Al-Wakrah on Friday. We play a game every 48 hours, and this puts lot of pressure on the players.”
He continued: “All matches are difficult, and we must maintain the same performance. We will do everything in our power to continue winning.”
“We must focus on the game against Al-Wakrah on Friday, but at the same time we must know that we have a more important match in the Amir Cup semi-final next Monday.”
Gracia concluded by saying: “All our players are ready and we will work to achieve the required balance when it comes to selecting players for the upcoming matches. All Al Sadd players are able to do their best, to achieve victory.”
