Al-Sadd head coach Juanma has described his team’s upcoming quarter-final match against Umm Salal in the Amir Cup as strong and difficult.
Speaking at the match’s press conference, Juanma said, “We know that every tournament is different from the other. The Amir Cup is completely different from the Qatar Cup, and we are coming from a title loss. We know that every match we play is like a final, and we have no choice but to beat Umm Salal to advance to the semi-finals.”
Juanma acknowledged that the league has become very difficult for Al-Sadd, saying, “We will fight in all matches to get the best position. We lost many points in the league championship and put ourselves in this difficult situation.”
He added, “The Amir Cup is the last chance for us to win a championship this season. I know how important this cup is to the fans of Al-Sadd and the club. We consider it a very important tournament, and we will do our best to win it.”
When asked about the Umm Salal team, Juanma said, “Umm Salal is not an easy team, and it will be a strong competitor, especially after the changes they made with the professionals. Regardless of their position in the standings, they will be a tough opponent for us in the match.”
