The Al-Sadd first team suffered a 1-3 defeat against Al-Shabab of Saudi Arabia in their third friendly match during their training camp in Seefeld-Tyrol, Austria, as part of their preparations for the upcoming 2023-2024 season.
Al-Shabab took the lead with two goals in the first half, and added a third goal in the middle of the second half. Al-Sadd managed to narrow the gap with a goal scored by Baghdad Bounedjah just before the end of the match.
Al-Sadd’s lineup featured Saad Al-Dosari, Pedro Miguel, Khoukhi Boualem, Abdullah Al-Yazidi, Abdulrahman Rashid, Mateus Uribe, Guilherme Torres in midfield, Giovani Henrique, Hassan Al-Haydos, Akram Afif, Baghdad Bounedjah.
In the second half, Ahmed Al-Saeed, Ahmed Sayyar, Yousuf Al-Baloushi, Hashim Ali, and Anas Abdulsalam came on as substitutes.
It is worth mentioning that the Al-Sadd team will be returning to Doha on Sunday after concluding their external training camp, as they continue their preparations for the upcoming season, which commenced on July 1st.
