Al Sadd suffered a defeat at the hands of Al Rayyan in their final match of the 2023-24 Expo Stars League, losing 4-0 at the Ahmed bin Ali Stadium on Sunday.
Al Rayyan took the lead in the 15th minute through Roger Guedes, and doubled their advantage just after the hour mark with a goal from Rodrigo Moreno. Gabriel Pereira added a third in the 89th minute, and Ahmed Al Rawi completed the scoring in stoppage time.
The result means Al-Sadd end the season as champions with a tally of 49 points from 22 games, while Al-Rayyan finish second with 47 points.
