Al-Sadd left-back Abdelkarim Hassan shared his thoughts ahead of the upcoming QNB Stars League Round 9 game against Al-Gharafa.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Abdelkarim said: “The next game against Al-Gharafa will be crucial for both because of the gap in points, and we will try to extend the lead.”
“Al Gharafa have had strong performances lately. I wish the best for both but I hope we get three points. The match wont be easy; Al Gharafa is a much improved team, playing beautiful football.
We will try our hardest to get three points.”
As for the lead at the top, he said: “Of course, the four-point difference is important for us, and it matters for us to increase the gap, as it offers us more comfort.”
Asked about his side’s consecutive four-goal wins, Abdelkarim said: “It’s true that we won the last game 4-1 but it was a difficult game. The match before that against Al-Arabi was easier.”
Finally, speaking about his personal form, the Qatari internatonal said: “On a personal level, I’m satisfied with myself. Recently my performance was not as good as fans are used to and there was a difficult situation for me, but I have been able to regroup and do better. It s a long season and hopefully and I can keep giving my best to help the team.”
