Al-Sadd defender Abdelkarim Hassan spoke of the importance of the upcoming clash with Al-Wakrah, in the postponed fixture from Round 11 of the QNB Stars League.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Abdelkarim said: “Al-Wakrah is performing well and we respect them a lot. They are now ranked third in the table and they will aim to move to second. At Al-Sadd, our objective is to continue winning and to extend our lead at the top, to defend our title.”
Asked about his recent performances, Abdelkarim said: “I am happy with my performance in the recent period, from the FIFA Arab Cup and until now. This makes me happy. With the new coach, I have been helping my team in attack, and we have progressed as a team recently. My goal is to always display a good level and help the team to win.”
He concluded by saying: “We must focus hard on the upcoming game against Al-Wakrah. I hope I can continue working at this level and I hope we can achieve all the we are aiming for in the next stage.”
