Al-Sadd wrapped up preparations for the upcoming AFC Champions League group stage clash against Al-Nassr, with a final training session on Sunday evening. The Matchday 5 fixture will be played at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium on Monday, and will kick off at 6 PM.
The Wolves go into the game sitting in second place in Group D with 8 points from 2 wins and 2 draws, while Al-Nassr are first with 10 points, from 3 wins and a draw. The first leg of the tie was played in Riyadh in February, and ended in a 2-2 stalemate.
Monday’s game will be an opportunity for Al-Sadd to overtake their opponents and go top of the table, while three points will also guarantee a spot in the Round of 16 with a game to spare.
The coaching staff have been working on ensuring that the players are fully prepared ahead of the game against Al-Nassr, keeping in mind the tight schedule of the competition.
Spirits have been high among the Al-Sadd players, especially after the morale-boosting 4-0 win over Al-Ain in their last group game. They will now have to give their best once again when they face off with Al-Nassr, in what will be their toughest game yet.
