Al-Sadd lost 1-3 against Jordanian side Al-Wehdat, in the AFC Champions League group stage fourth round game, which was played at Mohammed bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam on Tuesday.
With this result, Al-Sadd stay with a points tally of four, after a victory, two losses, and a draw.
Al-Wehdat succeeded in opening the scoring with the game’s first goal in the 48th minute via Mohammad Al-Damiri.
Rodrigo Tabata scored the equaliser for Al-Sadd in the 54th minute from the edge of the box, after a loose ball rolled towards him.
However, Khaled Essam put Al-Wehdat back in front in the 60th minute, before Ahmed Samir netted their third goal from a counterattack in the 75th minute.
