Al-Sadd suffered a 4–1 defeat against the Saudi club Al-Ittihad in the match played on Tuesday, 17 February 2026, at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium, as part of Round 8 of the West Zone in the AFC Champions League Elite 2025–2026.
Al-Sadd remained on eight points after the loss. The goal for Al-Zaeem was scored by Rafa Mujica in the 38th minute, while Al-Ittihad’s goals came from Houssem Aouar in the 10th minute, Youssef En-Nesyri in the 18th minute, an own goal by Pedro Miguel in the 33rd minute, and Stéphane Bahoken in the 63rd minute.
Despite the defeat, Al-Sadd qualified for the Round of 16 after finishing in eighth place.
