Al-Sadd star Akram Afif expressed his happiness with the important 2-1 victory over Al Nassr of Saudi Arabia, in the AFC Champions League Elite.
In his post-match comments, Akram said: “Thank God for the win. I thank the fans, as well as the technical and medical staff, for what we achieved today.”
He added: “We secured an important victory against Al Nassr at a crucial stage, and hopefully, the best is yet to come.”
He continued: “There’s no difference between facing Al Nassr and Al Hilal. We played to our strengths and achieved the win. We respected Al Nassr, adhered to the coach’s tactics and team spirit, waited for our opportunity, and secured the victory, which guaranteed our qualification to the next stage of the competition.”
