The Al-Sadd first team concluded their preparations for the upcoming QNB Stars League Round 16 game against Al-Ahli, with the final training session on Friday evening. The match is set to kick off at 6:15 PM on Saturday at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.
The coaching staff, led by Xavi Hernandez, implemented physical exercises and some light technical skills training, before announcing the 23-member matchday squad which is as follows:
Saad Al-Dosari, Meshaal Barsham, Jehad Muhammad, Jung Woo-young, Ahmed Sayyar, Abdulkarim Hassan, Pedro Miguel, Hassan Al-Haydos, Nam Tae-hee, Muhammad Waad, Khoukhi Boualam, Guillerme Torres, Rodrigo Tabata, Baghdad Bounedjah, Salem Al-Hajri, Santi Cazorla, Tarek Salman, Yousuf Abdurisag, Hussam Kamal, Musab Khidir, Ahmed Suhail, Ali Asad, Bahaa Al-Laithi
The squad announcement saw the absence of Hashim Ali, who suffered a muscle injury during training and will require a three-week treatment and rehabilitation period in order to return to group training.
Meanwhile, Akram Afif will also miss the next game against Al Ahli, after receiving his fourth yellow card during the last game against Al-Khor in the league.
After the end of Friday’s session, the Al Sadd squad entered a closed camp at Al-Messila hotel, from where they will head for the stadium tomorrow.
