Al-Sadd concluded their preparations for the upcoming QNB Stars League Round 17 game against Al-Arabi with the final training session which was held on Sunday evening at the club’s training facility. The match is set to kick off at 7:15 PM on Monday at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.
The coaching staff, led by Xavi Hernandez, selected a 23-member squad for the game, which is as follows: Saad Al-Dosari, Meshaal Barshim, Jehad Muhammad, Jung Woo-young, Ahmed Sayyar, Abdelkarim Hassan, Pedro Miguel, Hassan Al-Haydos, Nam Tae-hee, Muhammad Waad, Khoukhi Boualem, Guilherme Torres, Rodrigo Tabata, Baghdad Bounedjah, Salem Al-Hajri, Santi Cazorla, Tarek Salman, Yousuf Abdurisag, Hussam Kamal, Musab Khidir, Ahmed Suhail, Bahaa Al-Laithi, Hashim Ali
Hashim Ali returned to the squad after recovering from a muscle injury that had kept him out of action recently. Meanwhile, Ali Asad suffered a muscle injury that will require up to three weeks of treatment before he can return to training.
Akram Afif wil be unavailable for the game, after he was handed a two-match suspension by the Qatar Football Association’s disciplinary committee for comments he made to the media after the Qatar Cup semifinal against Al-Rayyan.
Following the end of Sunday’s session, the first team squad left for a closed camp at Al-Messila Hotel, where they will stay overnight before departing for the stadium tomorrow.
