The Al-Sadd first team concluded its training on Wednesday, in preparation for the upcoming clash with Al Wakrah in Week 19 of the QNB Stars League. The game is set to be played on Thursday evening at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.
The Wolves go into the game having offically secured the league title, after taking their points tally to 50 and establishing an unassailable 13-point lead, with 4 matches remaining until the end of the competition.
After Wednesday’s training session, the coaching staff led by Xavi Hernandez announced the squad list for the match, consisting of 21 players: Saad Al-Dosari, Meshaal Barsham, Jehad Muhammad, Jung Woo-young, Ahmed Sayyar, Pedro Miguel, Hassan Al-Haydos, Nam Tae-hee, Muhammad Waad, Khoukhi Boualem, Guilherme Torres, Rodrigo Tabata, Baghdad Bounedjah, Salem Al-Hajri, Tarek Salman, Yousuf Abdurisag, Hussam Kamal, Musab Khidir, Ahmed Suhail, Bahaa Al-Laithi, Hashim Ali
The squad announcement saw the absence of Santi Cazorla, who has been rested after the series of successive matches he played recently.
Akram Afif is also unavailable, having been ruled out for a period which may extend to 6 weeks, after suffering a muscle injury during the last match against Umm Salal, in which Al-Sadd clinched the title.
Meanwhile, left-back Abdelkarim Hassan will miss the game against Al Wakrah, due to a knee inflammation that will require a week of treatment.
