In the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Thani, President of Al-Sadd, the football first team held their final training session on Thursday at Al-Rayyan Stadium, ahead of facing Al-Arabi in the 2020 Amir Cup final.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed attended the game to show his support for the coaching staff and the players, before the important match, during which Al-Sadd will look to win the title for the 17th time. Head of Football Mohammed Ghanem Al-Ali was also present at the training session, alongside Abdulaziz Al Attiyah.
Thursday’s training session witnessed the participation of all the available players, including South Korean midfielder Nam Tae-hee, who has recovered after suffering a muscle injury recently.
After the training session, head coach Xavi announced the matchday squad, consisting of 23 players: Meshaal Barsham, Saad Al-Dosadi, Jung Woo-young, Ahmed Sayyar, Pedro Miguel, Hassan Al-Haydos, Mohamed Waad, Salem Al-Hajri, Ali Asad, Khokhi Boualem, Baghdad Bounedjah, Guilherme Torres, Rodrigo Tabata, Santi Cazorla, Abdulkarim Hassan, Yousuf Abdurisag, Hashim Ali, Akram Afif, Hussam Kamal, Musaab Khidir, Tarek Salman, Nam Tae-hee, Ahmed Suhail.
Later, the Wolves left for an overnight camp at the Messila Hotel, from where they will leave for the game on Friday.
