The Al Sadd first team held its main training session on Sunday, in preparation for facing Al Wehdat of Jordan, in the fourth round game in Group E of the AFC Champions League. The match is set to kick off at Mohammed Bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam at 8:15 PM on Tuesday, April 19, 2022.
Al Sadd enter the match sitting in second place in Group E with 4 points, after a 1-1 draw in the first round with Nasaf of Uzbekistan, before losing 1-2 in the second round against Al Faisaly of Saudi Arabia, and then achieving a big 5-2 victory over Jordanian side Al-Wehdat.
Meanwhile, Al-Wehdat are fourth in the group with one point, after drawing with Al-Faisaly in the first round, before losing to Nasaf of Uzbekistan in the second round 2-0.
Al-Sadd will look to repeat the victory over Al-Wehdat to get closer to group leaders Al-Fasialy of Saudi Arabia, who have 7 points.
Al-Sadd coach Javi Gracia worked on choose the options for the lineup, during Sunday’s session, which saw a great atmosphere as players focused on competing among themselves for the starting spots.
