The Al-Sadd first team held their main training session on Monday, at the club’s training centre, in preparation for facing Umm Salal in Round 18 of the QNB Stars League.
Al-Sadd come into the match with great enthusiasm after the big 5-1 victory over Al-Gharafa, which saw the team raise their points tally at the top of the table to 43. The Wolves also have two postponed matches yet to be played, against Qatar and Al Rayyan. Meanwhile, Umm Salal are in sixth place with 25 points.
The coaching staff worked on implementing some special attacking moves, while focusing on the players’ movement, before organising a practice mini-game.
Akram Afif will miss the upcoming Umm Salal match, after he was suspended for two matches by the Disciplinary Committee, following his red card in the last game against Al-Gharafa.
The Al-Sadd squad will hold its last training session from 5:30 PM on Tuesday evening, at the end of which the coach will announce the list of players for the game.
