The Al-Sadd first team squad resumed training on Tuesday, after a four-day break which followed the 4-0 win over Al-Arabi in Round 5 of the QNB Stars League.
The Wolves are at the top of the league standings with 15 points from five consecutive victories.
The first team is currently missing 16 players, with 11 players away with the senior Qatar national team (Saad Al-Dosari, Mishaal Barshim, Pedro Miguel, Musab Khader, Tarek Salman, Abdulkarim Hassan, Yusuf Abdurisag, Muhammad Waad, Hassan Al Haydos, Ali Asad, Akram Afif) for the games against Portugal and Ireland in the European qualifiers.
In addition to the above, two players joined the Qatar U23 national team, which is preparing for the AFC U23 Asian Cup qualifiers: Yousef Al-Balushi, Faisal Azadi.
Meanwhile, the trio of Baghdad Bounedjah (Algeria), Andre Ayew (Ghana) and Jung Woo-young (South Korea) have also joined their respective national teams for the qualifying games for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
The Al-Sadd squad is currently undergoing daily training with the participation of many young players to compensate for the absence of the unavailable first team players, with the coaching staff looking to prepare the team in the best way ahead of the next stage.
