Al-Sadd midfielder Ali Asad described the importance of his side’s 3-1 win over Umm Salal in Round 7 of the QNB Stars League.
Speaking after the match, Ali Asad said: “We faced a team that was organised in defence and good at closing the backline, and despite that, we managed to win even after trailing by a goal in the beginning. We also missed several other opportunities to score.”
He added: “Continuing to win is important, and there still is a long way to go in the league campaign. We focus on every match and deal with it with the seriousness that’s required.”
Asked about rotation in the team, Ali said: “The coach chooses the most appropriate formation for each match according to its circumstances and rotates the players in the interest of the team in general.”
